Confession Time

A few years ago, I suffered from video game addiction. I didn't think it was a thing. I used to play video games from when I woke up in the morning and played them all day until about 3 - 4 the next morning. I used to call in sick for work just so I could complete a quest on a new game I got. I eventually got fired and it turned my life around. I found help for my issues and I'm over it for the most part.

Unlike some of the Video Game Addiction sites I have found online, I'm not trying to ban gaming or bash gaming at all. In fact, I want to do the opposite. I want to educate people about gaming and it's history and teach the importance of moderation.

I want to be here for you all, I want to provide a service where I can help those suffering from game addiction. I mean all gaming too, one of my friends recently recovered from a Magic the Gathering addiction, so it's out there and I am here for you.

Next, I also want to be there for parents as well. Many parents don't understand the ESRB rating system too well and I want to provide classes on video game rating systems so that they can be well informed when purchasing games for their children.

In the future, we can make the world a better place. One piece of knowledge at a time.

Nintendo at WonderCon

Yesterday, on March 26, Nintendo was at booth #1836 at WonderCon as a meet & greet with Yosuke Hayashi and Hiroya Usuda, the Producer and Director of the recently released, Hyrule Warriors: Legends.

Many fans were also able to play the game for the first time and participate in a Q&A Panel later in the day.

Nintendo left various posts on their Twitter @NintendoAmerica chronicling the event. Here are only a few of the posts.

Blog (Not-So) Weekly Update [3/4/2016 - 3/11/2016] - #12

Well ... hello, I've been gone for a long time haven't I? Well, I guess I'm back.

Anyway, the reason for my hiatus is I'm starting to settle down. I got married and got a job and I guess I'm living the average American dream (even the country is more of a nightmare). That being said, A lot has happened in the state of the collection ... I officially got a team of people and opened a museum of gaming, called "Iodine Opossum's Museum of Gaming" (IOMOG). You can find us on Twitter: @IOpossumMOG and on Facebook: IodineOpossumMuseumofGaming

After I opened those museums. I noticed at many schools here in the US seem to teach using a dull, boring manor. Many students think all learning is boring and stressful. So, I came up with a plan to teach people using a hands on approach and letting kids learn science and history. I opened more museums under the Iodine Opossum name. All museums so far listed below.

Iodine Opossum's Museum of History (IOMOH)
Iodine Opossum's Museum of the Occult (IOMOO)
Iodine Opossum's Museum of Science and Technology (IOMOST)
Iodine Opossum's Museum of Gaming (IOMOG)

There are also a lot of items I added to the collection. So many in fact that I can't list it all.

VIDEO GAME REVIEW #1 Bloody Roar (1997); Platform: Sony PlayStation.

In 1997, Bloody Roar was released. It is a unique fighting game, that had MANY sequels. Personally, it is one of my favorite games, but I'm not reviewing for me, I'm review for you. anyway, it is ran on 32 bit graphics, which to today's standards SUCK, but people who are nostalgic about the PS1, the graphics are still quite good.

Graphics Rating: 3/5

Next I'm going to go over the storyline of it. There really isn't one. You're humans that can become anthropomorphic animals and you just fight.

Storyline Rating: 1/5

Now everything Else. All I can say about the game is, basically you fight and when you build up your "Beast" you become anthropomorphic animals and you fight (I know a bit redundant from my storyline section on this game). The game does have some unlockables that are pretty badass. The Characters though are quite boring and really have no backstory to speak of. The overall satisfaction of the game is also dragged down by the soundtrack, It's REALLY bad, it's that corny 90's rock kinda stuff you hear quite often in some of the older games. The soundtrack is so bad, it become good in a bad way. If you play, you better get used to the COMP. move spamming over and over again. It is an enjoyable game, but in small doses.

OVERALL RATING: 2.5/5

Blog (Not-So) Weekly Update [5/30/2015 - 6/6/2015] - #11

My computer broke so I wont be posting anything for a while. I'm using a tablet. Other than that I'm not really buying much, only boxes of loose games I have. Also, this fat, fluffy opossum is getting married soon. Yayyyyy, he proposed to me and I'm so excited.

I got a few games too. Can't remember the names of them right now buy they'll be added someday. Also, I did end up getting a replacement lava lamp to the one that broke.

Anyway, I'll update ya all again someday. Have a good life.
